Day at the lake

Well, true to form, the famous Midwest weather decided to bring us Summer in November. Tika is slowing down but had enough in her to enjoy our outing to the lake.

Where you goin' three legs?

World Famous Canadian Goose Herder, Caya

Tika's Attempt to Drink the Entire Lake almost successful

Coolest. Fetch. Stick. Ever.

Hmmm, should I go drink more water or lie down for awhile?

Tired. Soggy. Stinky. Happy......

Pool's open!

We opened the pool last week. Kinda nasty.  However, Disneyland to the doggies.  UPDATE: It's pretty cleared up now.

It's been clearing out the past week, and Tika is really digging her new exercise routine.
We just have to make sure Caya doesn't try to maul her everytime she gets out of the pool.
(A certain shepherd has decided that the pool is hers, and nobody else allowed in.

I was really good keeping my editorial comments to myself, but yes, my brat Shepherd does have to gnaw on the malamute every time she gets into the pool, or stream, or lake.

Merry Christmas

We had Christmas with the dogs. Oh, man. They just loved it. I tried to get into the spirit, but I’m still trying to grasp our new reality. There was also the thought that this is probably her last Christmas.

Tika was a joy, EVERY gift was hers. Period. So we let her open them all. Tika has shown no effects from the chemo besides being a little tired the first day.

My present, paws off!

Mine. Mine. Mine.

Momma and her babies.

Living with the hellhounds

Caya has adapted to her life with EPI. We found a provider that will sell us her enzymes for about $200 every six months. A lot better than $200/month.

So here's what I get to deal with. Mind you these pics are over the last several months, cause....well, I'm LAZY.
Ouch, ouch, ouch. I'm not a chew toy.

She's right behind me, isn't she? It's gonna hurt, isn't it.....?
